Ikizdere Base
Location
Ikizdere is located in the Rize region roughly 1 ½ hours from Trabzon airport . We stay in the RIDOS hotel**** at an altitude of 800m, in a small valley above the town of Ikizdere.
The hotel
The hotel was build in 2009 and has 150 rooms. This spacious hotel has all the latest amenities of a luxury hotel, including spa swimming pool, conference rooms, etc. The fifth floor, which houses the roofbar, is exclusively reserved for Turkey Heliski.

Skiable terrain
The skiable terrain accessible from the Ikizdere base covers some 4,500km2. The highest point in the range is Kaçkar Dağı (3937m). Ikizdere is located in the west of the Kaçkar range, with Ayder to the north.
We ski at altitudes of between 1500m and 3700m. The vertical drops for our runs range from 500m to 1400m. To date our run catalogue includes more than 350 descents over varied Alpine ground that is perfect for heliskiing. We predominantly ski above the treeline in open ground but we do still get some great runs through the trees. Thanks to the variety of terrain available here we can take you to the runs you feel most comfortable with.
The nearest heliskiing area to the hotel is only an 8-minute flight away and the bases are 20-25 minutes from each other by helicopter.

The entire 5th floor is reserved exclusively for Turkey Heliski. We have created a space where you can relax, play a range of games, shop at our boutique, as well as enjoy your meals.
In the lobby we have space for your ski boots with drying facilities.
We have wireless connection on the 5th floor and you have cable connection in your rooms.
