Ayder Base
Location
Ayder is 2 hours from Trabzon airport. This small village lies at the edge of the Kaçkar range at an altitude of 1100m in Rize Province.

This *** hotel was built in 2004 and has 50 rooms. It is a small, family-run mountain resort hotel with a cozy feel and friendly staff .

Skiable terrain
The skiable terrain accessible from the Ayder base covers some 4,500km2. The highest point in the range is Kaçkar Dağı (3937m). Ayder is located in the centre of the Kaçkar range, with Ikizdere to the southwest.
We ski at altitudes of between 1500m and 3700m. The vertical drops for our runs range from 500m to 1400m. To date our run catalogue includes more than 350 descents over varied Alpine ground that is perfect for heliskiing. We predominantly ski above the treeline in open ground but we do still get some great runs through the trees. Thanks to the variety of terrain available here we can take you to the runs you feel most comfortable with.
The nearest heliskiing area to the hotel is only a 5-minute flight away and the bases are 20-25 minutes from each other by helicopter.

Facilities
There is a dedicated 'Turkey Heliski' lounge with a bar, shop, and big screen projector where you can watch DVDs and movies. This is also where we share 'apres-ski' downtime after a great day out in the mountains.
In the ski room we have space for ski boots and drying facilities.
In our fitness area we have an exercise bike, treadmill and rowing machine, while right next to the fitness room you will find a Jacuzzi, sauna and jet shower.
The hotel is declared a smoke-free zone during the winter, however we have a 'smokers corner' in a cosy room with a log fire and big screen TV.
Wireless internet connection is available throughout the hotel.

- There is a typical Turkish 'hammam' just 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The water bubbles up from natural hot springs at a temperature of around 40-45ºC.
